Today we are going to learn how to change Multiple Texture Paths in 3ds Max .The Process For changing multiple texture path in 3ds Max is as follows :
Find missing textures and assign new paths at the same time.super easy to do.Open Your Max scene. Go in Utilities and click on more. Whan you click on more a Utilities dailog box is pop up.
Now you have All available utilities are listed here we are looking for “Bitmap/Photometric Paths” . Now Find out “Bitmap/Photometric Paths” Utilites and select “Bitmap/Photometric Paths” and hit ok.
Now you have access to path editor . Path editor is locate in Utilities right side of max like modifiers parameters. In path editor click on “Edit Resoures”.
Now new Bitmap/Photometric Path Editor is pop up. Here You can see all texture path for scene.In Bitmap/Photometric Path Editor there is many options :
- Copy Files
- Select Missing Files
- Find Files
- Strip Selected Paths
- Strip All Paths
- New path
- Set path
if you want to change some texture paths selecte textures and give them new path and click on Set path.If you want to Find out missing texture paths Just click on “select Missing Files” and now 3ds max automatic find out missing texture and select all missing Texture paths for your scene.(All missing paths are highlighted ). Now Assign new texture path and click on Set path Button.
This “Bitmap/Photometric Path Editor” is use for changing multiple texture paths and finding missing path for scene ans also useful for reassign texture path or if texture location is change you can easily reassign new texture path.
